Villa Coco is a well established villa and hotel complex located in Seminyak, Bali. The Hotel was established in 1989 when Seminyak was still a quiet farming district. Villa Coco has 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom accommodation.
We were engaged by Villa Coco in early 2014.
Although well established, Villa Coco were having major problems gaining traction in the search results because the top 20 results are dominated by huge brands like Agoda, Booking.com and Trip Advisor. As a result they had a very average search engine presence and low overall website traffic volume for anything other than their brand name.
New website development from the ground up using our proven SEO guidelines for URL hierarchies and on-page optimisation. Page loading was optimised and our keyword strategy included targeting high volume, relevant keywords and phrases. We also developed a strategy that focused on increasing search visibility for longer tail, conversion focused keywords. This on-page optimisation work was followed by an extensive off-page optimisation (link building) campaign.
The Bali property and accommodation niche is one of the most highly competitive markets from an SEO perspective with many large corporations competing to generate leads from prospective holiday makers. Within six months we had opened the client up to many thousands of new searches per month with ‘top of first page’ positions for many of their major, high volume keywords.
